Free Mobile Internet
The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC Program that helps connect families and households struggling with affording internet services.
Who is Eligible: A household is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if the household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if a member of the household meets at least one of the criteria below:

- Participates in any of the following assistance programs: SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline
- Participates in any of the following Tribal specific programs: Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribal TANF, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or Tribal Head Start (income based)
- Participates in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch or the School Breakfast Program
- Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year
Health
Staff can assist clients with applications to the Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program, eye exams and prescription eyewear. Please contact your local MPCAA office for more information.

Food
Food boxes are provided on a monthly basis to eligible senior citizens over the age of 60 in Bullitt and Spencer Counties.
Fresh produce is provided in Spencer County weekly.
Spencer County distributes Temporary Food Assistance Program Food Boxes monthly. Call 502-477-8296 for distribution dates.
Emergency Food Boxes are distributed throughout the month in Spencer County. You can receive an emergency food box on a monthly basis.

LIHEAP
Our LIHEAP Winter Crisis will begin on January 9, 2024 and end March 29, 2024. A new program will be opening soon in mid-April, check back here for more information. The scheduler will open on Thursday, January 4, 2024 to make appointments. Please make your appointment through our on line scheduler at http://mpcaa.itfrontdesk.com or our automated phone scheduler at 1-502-317-0120.
This is a Crisis program so you need a late notice or disconnect notice to qualify. If you have propane you will need a note or letter from the vendor stating that you account is in good standing. Participants must meet income guidelines and be the responsible party for their utility expenses. You will be required to bring social security cards or permanent residence cards (green card) for everyone who lives in the household, the utility bills (electric, gas, propane or kerosene) that you wish paid and the prior months income for everyone over 18 in the household in order to apply for services. If you have Social Security and apply in January you will need your 2023 Award Letter. If you apply in February or March you will need your 2024 Award letter.

The Weatherization Assistance Program reduces energy waste, lowers utility costs and ensures the health and safety of residents across Kentucky. Professionally trained and insured technicians and crews will perform Weatherization services on your home at no cost to you. Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency provides Weatherization Services for homes located in Bullitt, Shelby, Spencer and Jefferson Counties of Kentucky.
Eligibility Qualifying for the Weatherization Program is based on household income up to 200% of the current federal poverty income guidelines. Homeowners and renters may be eligible, and can include single family homes, multi-family homes and mobile homes. Goodwill Vouchers |

Beginning January 1, 2024 we will have Goodwill Vouchers at all of our locations. If you are in need of clothing, household items, etc, please ask one of our Family Support Partners about getting a goodwill voucher to help you purchase items that you may need. This program will run through December 15, 2024.
Community WinterHelp
Bullitt County Only - Community Winterhelp is a 501(c)3 charitable organization composed of agencies in the metropolitan Louisville area. Founded in 1983, its mission is to assist low income families with utility bill assistance during the winter months (January through April) to assure that families have heat in their home. In partnership with LG&E, Community Winterhelp funding is comprised of donations from LG&E customers. LG&E provides a 25% to 100% donation match per dollar donation from LG&E customers made throughout the year.

The WinterCare Fund was established in Kentucky in 1983 when local Community Action Agencies and Utility Companies partnered to address the needs of low-income Kentuckians. The program is targeted to people who are not eligible through other heating assistance programs and have demonstrated financial need. Currently 31 utilities and 22 Community Action Agencies serving 119 of the state’s 120 counties participate in WinterCare, which is managed by the Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nickolas Counties and administered by community action agencies.
